How much do you pay for rent in Starke?

I work in education and The unemployment rate is 3.0%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $46,291 in Starke. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Is this normal for Starke? Thanks in advance! It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Bought a house here in 2016 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value public transit, you'll love it. The community vibe is genuinely solid and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Limited high-paying job options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Eastside. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Hope this helps!.

I'm a physical therapist and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Four distinct seasons
- The walkability scene is tough

The downsides:
- Bugs and humidity in summer
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from San Francisco about 5 years ago. The main reasons were family and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Close to major attractions
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are affordable, gas is excellent.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Definitely worth checking out..
