Thinking about relocating to Stillwater from Houston

Alright, I'm a remote worker and Median household income is $109,297, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 1.9%, which is pretty low. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What do you all think? Any help is appreciated.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 10 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 7 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Oak Park side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
