Unpopular opinion about Stillwater

Random thought, I work in insurance and The median home value here is around $230,900, which is actually reasonable. It's a a smaller city city with about 48,818 people. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Has anyone dealt with this? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Used to live on the Springfield side, now on the Fairview side. Completely different vibe. it exceeded my expectations.
