Moving to Sulphur for work -advice?

I'm originally from Sacramento and Rent is about $1,015/month for a decent place. With a population of 21,004, Sulphur is a small town. Average temperature is around 70--F, so the weather is moderate. The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Anyone in a similar situation? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
