Curious what people think. Born and raised here. With a population of 30,075, Summerlin South is a smaller city. The median home value here is around $641,600, which is pretty steep. The suburbs are where most families end up. Would love some local perspective. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much developing but now it's challenging.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Lakewood. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally solid. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Indian.
Definitely worth checking out..
