Should I move to Summerlin South or stay in Sacramento?

Hey folks, I'm originally from Sacramento and Poverty rate is 4.2%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $113,301, which feels pretty solid for the area. The median home value here is around $641,600, which is pretty steep. Rent is about $2,400/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Lakewood. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
