Random thought, Just moved here 5 months ago and Median household income is $84,367, which feels pretty solid for the area. Average temperature is around 58--F, so the weather is moderate. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. Should I be concerned?

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Downtown. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in retail. If you're in legal you might struggle.
People: Generally solid. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Southern.
Definitely worth checking out..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to Seattle it's challenging.
