How much do you pay for rent in Temple City?
First post here. I'm a 30-year-old graphic designer and Homes are going for about $930,200 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Temple City sits at 176.8 per 100K. The median home value here is around $930,200, which is pretty steep. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.
Pros:
- Good job market
- Nice parks and trails
- Growing food scene
- Low taxes
Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Boring for young people
- Poor road conditions
- Homelessness issues downtown
What would you do? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
