How much do you pay for rent in Temple City?

First post here. I grew up here but left for a while. Rent is about $2,034/month for a decent place. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Maple Ridge. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much growing but now it's surprisingly good.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The nightlife scene is improving

The downsides:
- Bugs and humidity in summer
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. Hope this helps!.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
