Housing in Temple compared to Baltimore

Been meaning to ask this. Median household income is $64,945, which feels about average for the area. You can expect to pay around $1,174 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Temple sits at 279.8 per 100K. The median home value here is around $220,300, which is actually reasonable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Friendly people
- Good schools
- Diverse community
- Plenty of shopping options

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Limited nightlife
- Far from major airports
- Chain restaurants dominate

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 1 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
