Not sure if this has been asked before, but Crime rate is something to consider -Temple sits at 279.8 per 100K. Homes are going for about $220,300 on average. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Anyone in a similar situation? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
