Worst things about Temple nobody talks about

Rent is about $1,174/month for a decent place. With a population of 86,358, Temple is a smaller city. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Cheers.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Meadowbrook. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.
