Rent in The Hills getting crazy
I'm a 45-year-old accountant and Rent is about $2,240/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

- Plenty of shopping options
Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Hot summers
- Not very walkable
- Lack of diversity
What do you all think? TIA! The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
