Should I move to Tinton Falls or stay in Portland?

Random thought, I grew up here but left for a while. Household incomes average around $113,844 in Tinton Falls. Poverty rate is 4.9%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. It's a a small town city with about 19,252 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Worth the trade-offs? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The nightlife scene is decent

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. No regrets on my end..
