How is the nightlife in Toluca?

Military spouse here. With a population of 1,313, Toluca is a small town. It's a a small town city with about 1,313 people. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What neighborhoods would you suggest? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Springfield. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in government. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
