Town of Pecos is underrated, change my mind

Hey, Born and raised here. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Is this normal for Town of Pecos?

I've lived in Oak Park for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Lots of new development happening
- The cost of living scene is average

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Eastside. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in consulting. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
