As a 4-year resident, here are some things about Tracy that don't make it into the guides:
1. The farmers market on Saturday mornings is incredible
2. Community events happen almost every weekend
3. Cost of living is way better than people think
It's not for everyone but it's perfect for us.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Riverside and Northside are perfectly safe.

Coming from Miami, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are slightly more expensive but housing makes up for it.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.
