So, Born and raised here. It's a a smaller city city with about 95,358 people. You can expect to pay around $2,325 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Tracy sits at 178.7 per 100K. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 14 years here, that's my honest assessment.

As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much established but now it's challenging.

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in Cedar Grove area are better than expected. Kids love it here.
