Best companies to work for in Tucson?

Anyone else feel this way? The median home value here is around $242,200, which is actually reasonable. The unemployment rate is 3.9%, which is pretty low. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Worth the trade-offs? The city has invested a lot in new development.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Dallas about 7 years ago. The main reasons were school and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Urban sprawl is real

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are wild, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is solid in most areas.
