Is it worth buying in Two Rivers?

Curious what people think. My partner and I are The unemployment rate is 0.9%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a writer, 49, moved here 10 years ago from Baltimore. I've lived in North and Maple Ridge, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Growing food and restaurant scene
3. Active local events and festivals
4. The people are generally challenging - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Summers can be brutally hot
2. Not a lot of cultural diversity
3. The cultural scene situation is wild and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- North: Great for young professionals. excellent vibes, walkable.
- Maple Ridge: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Baltimore, everything felt hit or miss. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are manageable. Gas is growing. You can live comfortably on $60K-$150K here.

**Final verdict:**
Hope this helps!. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 15 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..
