Random thought, What are your go-to spots? The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is safety. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Seattle about 1 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good internet infrastructure
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are wild, gas is challenging.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Happy to answer more specific questions..
