Things Upland needs to improve

Curious what people think. I'm a teacher here and The median home value here is around $688,800, which is pretty steep. Poverty rate is 6.7%, which is pretty low. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Let me know your thoughts. TIA! I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is healthcare. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The weather is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Close to major attractions
- The cost of living scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Definitely worth checking out..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in Cedar Grove area are better than expected. Kids love it here.
