Hello, Born and raised here. With a population of 1,313, Vernon is a small town. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want housing market, then yeah this place is great. But if food scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The school system scene is challenging
The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Definitely worth checking out..

Bought a house here in 2018 and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

I work in healthcare here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is better than expected. Happy to answer more specific questions..

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
