Most overrated things about Vero Beach

Longtime lurker here, I relocated for work and Household incomes average around $67,351 in Vero Beach. It's a a small town city with about 16,785 people. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is pretty good in most areas.

Moved here from Boston about 2 years ago. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Still getting used to community vibe but It's not for everyone but it works for us..
