Raising a family in Vero Beach -thoughts?

Hey folks, Just moved here 6 months ago and Average temperature is around 74--F, so it's warm year-round. Rent is about $1,197/month for a decent place. It's a a small town city with about 16,785 people. Median household income is $67,351, which feels about average for the area. The unemployment rate is 1.6%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Lots of new development
- Active local events

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Limited public transit
- Lack of diversity
- Homelessness issues downtown
Any advice would be great. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I work in healthcare here and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market for my field is pretty good. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is decent in most areas.
