Villas vs Omaha -which is better?

I grew up here but left for a while. The median home value here is around $290,000, which seems about average. It's a a small town city with about 9,897 people. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Pros:
- Easy commute
- Strong sense of community
- Plenty of shopping options

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Rising rent prices
- Limited cultural events
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Homelessness issues downtown
Am I wrong here? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from San Francisco about 2 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are competitive, gas is pretty good.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Feel free to reach out with questions..
