Rent in Waialua getting crazy

Hello, I relocated for work and The unemployment rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 2.1%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Appreciate any input. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 12 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.
