Cost of living reality check -Wake Village

I've been here for 6 years and You can expect to pay around $1,061 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 5,887 people. Poverty rate is 12.1%, which is around average. Crime rate is something to consider -Wake Village sits at 516.9 per 100K. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Thanks for reading. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value community vibe, you'll love it. The outdoor recreation is genuinely hit or miss and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Uptown) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Road conditions need improvement.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
