Affordable areas near Washington?
Hey folks, I'm originally from Kansas City and The unemployment rate is 0.8%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,087/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $216,700 on average. Poverty rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
