Relocating to Washington, IL -pros and cons?
Hey everyone, Been living here since 2010. Rent is about $1,087/month for a decent place. Median household income is $91,360, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a a small town city with about 15,946 people. With a population of 15,946, Washington is a small town. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Any advice would be great. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
