Is Waterford getting better or worse?
I'm single, late 40s, and With a population of 9,177, Waterford is a small town. The unemployment rate is 3.8%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 11.8%, which is around average. It's a a small town city with about 9,177 people. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up.
Pros:
- Good job market
- Good schools
- Good airport connections
Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Not very walkable
- Chain restaurants dominate
It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up.
