Crime rate is something to consider -Waterford sits at 144.1 per 100K. The suburbs are where most families end up. Does this match your experience? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 3 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into running, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

Used to live on the The Heights side, now on the Uptown side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Came here for retirement and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The school system is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
