Anyone else feel this way? Homes are going for about $214,200 on average. Household incomes average around $72,641 in Watergate. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Am I wrong here? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Seattle about 12 years ago. The main reasons were family and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are competitive, gas is improving.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Used to live on the North side, now on the Westside side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.
