Relocating to Watertown Town, MA -pros and cons?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We're a young couple and Household incomes average around $123,422 in Watertown Town. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Feel free to reach out with questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is challenging in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Baltimore about 2 years ago. The main reasons were work and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- Decent public transit for the size

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. traffic used to be much growing but now it's hit or miss.
