What I wish I knew before living in Watertown Town

Longtime lurker here, Median household income is $123,422, which feels pretty solid for the area. The median home value here is around $737,600, which is pretty steep. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Has anyone dealt with this? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in East. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in education. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The weather is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is nightlife. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've lived in North for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The nightlife scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Hope this helps!.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if food scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've lived in Downtown for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Affordable housing options
- Diverse dining options
- The school system scene is tough

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Feel free to reach out with questions..
