Things Welcome needs to improve

Random thought, Been living here since 2016. The unemployment rate is 3.5%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Has anyone dealt with this? Thanks in advance! The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Lakewood area are average. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 6 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Sunset side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
