Planning a move to Westlake Corner -neighborhoods?
Hey folks, Crime rate is something to consider -Westlake Corner sits at 268.8 per 100K. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Is this normal for Westlake Corner? Cheers. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Dallas about 4 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Four distinct seasons
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Can feel isolated
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are pricey, gas is solid.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a electrician who relocated here from Charlotte about 2 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of new development happening
- Four distinct seasons
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are affordable, gas is challenging.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
