Is Westwego worth moving to in 2026?

Hey, I've been here for 5 years and Homes are going for about $168,600 on average. The weather takes some getting used to. Is this normal for Westwego? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

What I wish I knew before living in Westwego

Hey, I'm a remote worker and It's a a small town city with about 8,382 people. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Thoughts? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
