Most overrated things about Wickerham Manor-Fisher
OK so I'm a teacher here and Homes are going for about $204,300 on average. It's a a small town city with about 1,223 people. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. What do you all think?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Minneapolis about 15 years ago. The main reasons were weather and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is excellent.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. No regrets on my end..

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in Fairview area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Lakewood. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in finance. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Asian.
Definitely worth checking out..

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.
