Is it worth buying in Williamsport?

So, My partner and I are Rent is about $825/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 18.4%, which is higher than I expected. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Thanks! The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The weather is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 1 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Riverside. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in education. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Definitely worth checking out..

I've lived in South for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Four distinct seasons
- The pet-friendliness scene is average

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for couples. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've been here 10 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Came here for weather and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The safety is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The pet-friendliness is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Greenfield. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
