Unpopular opinion about Winfield

First post here. Born and raised here. Rent is about $596/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $99,800, which is actually reasonable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Am I wrong here?

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 11 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Meadowbrook side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Used to live on the Westside side, now on the East side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.
