Cost of living reality check -Winona

Hello, I'm a teacher here and Poverty rate is 6.3%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 25,998 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. Any advice would be great. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Bought a house here in 2021 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Used to live on the Pine Hills side, now on the Lakewood side. Completely different vibe. it's been a really good experience overall.

I'm a lawyer and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.
