Dog-friendly places in Winona?

Anyone else feel this way? Military spouse here. You can expect to pay around $839 for rent here. The median home value here is around $193,500, which is actually reasonable. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. Thanks! I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to Tampa it's pretty good.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Houston about 4 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Active local events and festivals
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are manageable, gas is decent.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
