Anyone else feel this way? My family moved here when I was a kid. Poverty rate is 6.3%, which is pretty low. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Does this match your experience? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is tough in most areas.

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. nightlife used to be much developing but now it's surprisingly good.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.
I've been here 5 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is tough.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
