Crime rate is something to consider -Wyldwood sits at 484.6 per 100K. With a population of 5,436, Wyldwood is a small town. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Thoughts? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is healthcare. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from New York about 2 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Four distinct seasons
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Nightlife is limited
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are reasonable, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
