Best kept secrets of Wylie, TX

Alright, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Homes are going for about $350,100 on average. The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Eastside. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in finance. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Italian.

No regrets on my end..
