Hello, I'm retired and It's a a small town city with about 11,100 people. With a population of 11,100, Wyomissing is a small town. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in South. It's underrated for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in retail. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.
People: Generally better than expected. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Indian.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The traffic is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is public transit. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.
