Rent in Yukon getting crazy

Rent is about $1,080/month for a decent place. Worth the trade-offs?

Hot take but it's exactly what I was looking for. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Bought a house here in 2018 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

I'm a marketing manager and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is decent and there's always something going on.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 14 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Came here for cost of living and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The cultural scene is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
