Things Zion needs to improve

Curious what people think. With a population of 24,466, Zion is a small town. The unemployment rate is 4.6%, which is about average. Median household income is $62,574, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Zion sits at 550.5 per 100K. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Lots of new development
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Limited nightlife
- Sprawl everywhere
- Boring for young people
- Homelessness issues downtown
Should I be concerned? The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I work in construction here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is hit or miss. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's been a really good experience overall. Internet is underrated in most areas.

I've lived in Eastside for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Four distinct seasons
- The housing market scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for singles. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Pine Hills. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in finance. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
