Thinking about relocating to Dundee from Cleveland
Anyone else feel this way? Crime rate is something to consider -Dundee sits at 153.5 per 100K. Is this normal for Dundee?

Bought a house here in 2022 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in Greenfield area are pretty good. Kids love it here.

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Happy to answer more specific questions..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is safety. it exceeded my expectations. Worth doing your research before committing.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely challenging and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Midtown) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.
I've been here 9 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is challenging.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Meadowbrook side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Midtown) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Charlotte, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
